Who the Heck is Claude?: The We-Wu for May 11-29, 2026

Hello, my little bambinos! Did you miss me?

I’ve missed you! I know I can’t actually see you, but you are the unwitting beneficiary of my brain dump, so maybe what I actually miss is the catharsis of unburdening myself.

You’re welcome.

Anyway, last time I talked a lot about folders. And I’m going to talk a little bit about folders this time. Because I have a folder of folders. The only things in the folders are more folders. And when I need a particular folder structure, I go to my folder of folders and drag the correct ones into my other folders.

FOLDERCEPTION!

I may be going a little bit mad.

Tiny bit.

Also, I have two things I’m trying to install on my computer that have stalled. One is at 31%, and the other is at 3%. Should I have started the second one when the first was going? Probably not. But I kind of needed the programs to continue.

Well, apparently not, because it has been two days now, and I have moved on to other things. But that does mean some things are not getting done.

Also, the second thing involves AI, and I’m not super enthusiastic about that one.

I think I just have to pick one and let it run over the weekend. And probably check in with IT to see how my request for a new computer is going.

Stupid RAM prices.

We have a lot of ground to cover for the month of May. I have been in and out of the office with the community garage sale and pet sitting. But the work never stops, and I continued my duties even under the watchful eye of a five pound Pomeranian.

As always, there were a lot of meetings, and I would say at least half were productive. I did a lot of training, both of other people and me being trained. I spent some time at the Mill’s House, which is the new property (new to OMS, it’s been around forever) across the street.

Some specific projects I’ve done: new status update for T&M and VCP; continued editing of the second weekly guide for Phase 2; published booklet 67 (Isa Loves Muslims) in Chichewa; published the Term 1 volume for Kiluba; and turned over the completed Scavenger Hunt to the planning team for the 125th.

A few things that happened that tangentially effected me: sno-cones of appreciation; everyone freaking out that People Month is right around the corner; interns arrived (I don’t have one, but one is sitting right outside my door; and the head of communications sent an email to everyone in the OMS contacts that was really only meant for one person (that one was funny - I can hear her from down the hall when the doors are open, and I happened to see the email, counted down, and when I reached 1, the wailing started).

Oh, and I tried to find a way to get different notification sounds in Outlook so I can differentiate between email and calendar events. I keep missing meetings because I get so caught up in work that I forget what time it is. And I get a lot of emails, so I hear a lot of dings in my headphones, so there’s no way to know if it’s an email or a meeting. I suppose I could mute the email notifications, but then I just wouldn’t check my email at all.

First world problems.

I think that will do it. My note taking has taken a nosedive because I’m too focused on getting things done than documenting what I did. I need to work on that because I will hate myself at the end of the year when I try to explain what I’ve been up to for 12 whole months.

Actually, now that I think about it, I need to get a prayer letter written. Do you think Claude or Grok would do a better job?

Take care of some small stuff, guys. And have a great weekend!

Bye!
