Alphabetical Elasticity: The We-Wu for April 27 - May 1, 2026
Have you ever seen those weird ads, usually for some kind of word or puzzle game, that promises to enhance your brain elasticity? I’m starting to wonder if I can, indeed, elasticize my brain. Or build some new pathways. Can you develop ADD later in life?
Although, if I did develop ADD, you’d think it would help me as I bounce from project to project, trying to get things done. Maybe it’s the fact that I have to bounce from one thing to the next that is the problem. One of my working geniuses is Tenacity, and I rarely feel like anything is truly finished these days.
Also, why are there so many meetings?! What did people do before Zoom meetings that allowed them to do work in the background and catch up with AI?! Why do I even have to think about AI?! How many interrobangs can I fit into one paragraph?!
(Incidentally, I think the people who used to produce infomercials made a natural transition into making the weird game ads about trying to kill someone and then getting distracted by whatever game or app they are using. And how did I miss the gravy train of the pre-AI people who just stand in one place and make different facial expressions or wag their finger or celebrate absolutely nothing?)
I think the only day I didn’t have a meeting this week was Tuesday. And it’s possible that I forgot one and did actually have a meeting that day. Most days, I had more than one meeting.
What was I doing in the background, you ask? Sometimes, nothing, because I do try to pay attention. Otherwise, I was able to finish the Kiluba Camel Method and Implementation Manual - AND I used them to train Meg on some of our InDesign processes. It will be extremely helpful to have someone else who can work on VCP InDesign documents. I may have broken her brain as well, but it was totally necessary. Sorry, Meg!
I also got started on the scavenger hunt that I’m putting together for the 125th anniversary. As you may be aware, if you suggest something for an event, you will likely have to be the one to implement it. But I thought this would be fun, and I went into this with my eyes open, so that’s okay. I have 12 things for the scavenger hunt so far, and I’m trying to scale them from super easy to nearly impossible. I’m also doing this without knowing all the things we’re telling people at the celebration or who exactly will be attending.
I continue my editing of the Weekly Guide. I have made it to week three, which is all about biblical marriage, a topic on which I am immensely qualified, so that’s going well.
I learned something new this week about how to create transfiles, and it led to this entry in my calendar: ENGE2T2TTT. Sadly, this makes complete sense to me. (But will it make sense in the future when I’m in a hearing to join the Supreme Court and someone accuses me of weird stuff?)
That might be it. I need to go feed some dogs before I go find out what the Biscoff Pizookie tastes like at BJ’s. Yay!
Sweat some small stuff if you can this weekend! (Sweating may not be possible with all this cold weather. But sweating is not required for the small stuff. Unless the small stuff is hot yoga.)
Bye!
