Adding to the Office: The We-Wu for March 31 - April 4, 2025
Why do I feel like it’s already the middle of April?
I mean, I’m glad it’s not. I’m not ready for that. But this week took up at least three weeks in a mirror universe.
I don’t even have a good reason for feeling that way. Sure, all of what I said last week is still true, but by all standards, this was a pretty normal week.
I suppose one odd thing was all the rearranging. A couple people switched offices, partly due to needing space for an intern this summer. It’s not actually our intern, but we do have some room, so they get to hang out with us. Pray for them.
Part of the rearranging was moving our server link to my office. (I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s just a computer, but it’s what we use to upload all of our files to our various databases.)
One big thing I got done was my April prayer letter. I hope people will like it. I’m never quite sure what people want to hear about, and the letter tends to be a more formal presentation than this blog is. I don’t want to double dip too much, but there’s only so much I can expand upon in a letter that I don’t talk about on here.
Oh, I did get the new booklet out in French and English beta versions for a training in Africa next week. I don’t like publishing in beta form because it hasn’t gone through the whole process. This one especially looks unfinished because we don’t have the final art. That’s less important for a training, though, so it is what it is.
I’m going to see part two of The Chosen season five tonight. The first two episodes were pretty good, but they were very much setting up the rest of the season. I’m wondering if I’ll cry at some point. Season four got me early on. I got the email about appearing as an extra in season six, which is incredibly expensive, but knowing that season six is also crucifixion season, I’m not even tempted. Maybe I’ll try for season seven. With literally everyone else.
We did have some fun weather earlier this week, and by fun, I mean a little bit scary. I had two dogs, so I had to get them into a closet - so easy! No damage in Greenwood that I know of, but I guess the west side of Indy got trashed. I heard somewhere that we’re going to get as much rain this week as we will get for the rest of the year. That’s just insane.
(Hey, if anyone has figured out how to access a pocket dimension or a mirror universe, give me a shout. I could use an extra week or two for some editing.)
I think that’s it for now. Have a good weekend, sweat some small stuff, and I’ll see you back here next week.
Bye!
