The We-Wu for September 28 - October 2, 2026

Every January, I look at the year ahead and marvel at how long it actually is and wonder if it will feel fast or slow. And every Fall, I look back and wonder where the time went.

I know where it went. I lived it. But still…

Some months have felt lightning fast. Some dragged.

I’m not sure I remember September. Even though it was two days ago. Good thing I take notes! (I need to take better notes.)

Four things on my To-Do list from Monday’s meeting. I did three of them. They were the three most important ones, so that’s good.

But my proudest achievement for the week was finally getting the server updated! This has been hanging over my head forever! At first, I was just lazy and waiting for there to be a bunch of things to upload at once instead of doing it piecemeal. But then there were too many, and it took me a while to figure out what needed to be uploaded. It was actually a good project for me when I was between computers.

So I went to upload them to the server, but then we couldn’t connect. I don’t remember if that was the case before we got the new computer (the other one - we keep a separate one in my office for this purpose), but it definitely wasn’t working after. Turns out the IP address had cycled out, so we had to get a new one after I got a key file. I don’t know what a lot of that means, but I’m good at following instructions, so it all worked out!

(I hope. I’m looking at it now and don’t see everything I uploaded. I will not make a scene.)

I published the French Term 2 Trainer’s Guide this week, and I watched my mom publish Train the Trainers. She did amazing! I also compiled proofs for Bambara Term 1. I only gave myself a mild concussion from all the times my head banged against my desk. It was fine, really. It’s just tedious with a lot of small steps. And Bambara is a really interesting language with glyphs that are Greek-esque, but that also makes it difficult to notice patterns. I’d love to know how it was developed.

I have been the sole female in the hall this week (except when Lori comes to visit), so it will be nice when Sarah comes back. I might have to do some recruiting…

Bye!
