In Lieu of a We-Wu

It’s no secret that I usually write this up on Fridays. It’s usually quieter, I don’t want to start a new project, and it’s a nice time to recap the week.

But recently, I haven’t been in the office on every Friday. Friday, being just before a weekend, is therefore a good travel day for whatever weekend activities are about to commence. And I have a lot of weekend activities in August.

So, in lieu of this week’s regularly scheduled post, I am going to invite your participation in a future chapel presentation I’m doing.

On August 1, I achieved 15 years of service with One Mission Society.

I know. I can’t believe it either.

We do a recognition chapel for people for every five years they’re with OMS. I somewhat remember my 5th anniversary speech. That was shortly after I’d switched to ECC, my third department at OMS. The 10th anniversary speech was done outside because it happened during COVID times. I remember that one a bit better.

This one is in September. I set the date at the end of last year and then kinda forgot about it. Now I have to come up with something to talk about.

Ostensibly, the remit is to talk about the last five years. I could say a lot, but I try to have a theme and at least be interesting. Plus, a large part of the last five years was under the COVID cloud, and I don’t think anyone wants to revisit that.

That’s where you come in. What would you want to hear about? Has anything stood out in the last five years of blog posts? Any burning questions you’ve always wanted me to answer?

Let me know! Comments are on, or you can email me. I appreciate any and all insights.

In the meantime, sweat some small things. (Ooh, there’s an idea.)

Bye!
