The We-Wu for September 14-18, 2026
Did you know that Pol Pot didn’t die until 1998? That seems way too late. I was alive! Why do I think of him like Stalin? (Aside from the obvious.) Like, I just assumed he died in office, shortly after his reign of terror.
I don’t normally go looking up genocidal maniacs. Much. There was actually a reason that Pol Pot came up this week. If you get my prayer letter, you’ll understand it soon enough.
And really, what other missionary is going to talk about Pol Pot in their prayer letter? Except maybe one based in Southeast Asia. But definitely not one based in the United States. Everyone should be so lucky to experience this. (Seriously. Tell your friends about me. Send me their information. I could use a few more supporters. Inflation is killer.)
Anyway, that’s probably all of the existential stuff you’re getting this week. My brain is still tired, and I’m just moving on autopilot.
I made a list during my second meeting on Monday of five things that needed to be done this week. I crossed off the first one on Wednesday. I crossed off the last one today. Again. Because yes, it had to be revised. That’s fine.
How many things did I add to the list since Monday?
Why would you ask me such a rude question?
I had a nice break on Monday with a photo shoot. One of those photos will be replacing the photo on my OMS profile page. Soon. It’s on my list.
There was also a nice break on Tuesday for dirty sodas. I added syrup to mine, but there’s something about adding dairy to soda that just feels… dirty. And gross. But strawberry Coke is pretty good.
Anyway, the rest of the week was fine. I spent a lot of time working on the aforementioned prayer letter. The juices were just not flowing. But I extracted it from my brain, and hopefully, it’s okay.
Pol Pot mentions aside.
I think that’s going to have to be it. Maybe I’ll have more energy next week.
Take care of some small things!
Bye!
